Challenge
Modern dating apps often feel gamified and superficial, leading to user burnout. The client wanted to create a platform that encouraged slower, more intentional interactions.
Our challenge was to design a discovery interface that moved beyond the 'swipe' mechanic. We needed to highlight personality and compatibility metrics without making the profile creation process tedious.
Solution
We introduced 'Story Profiles' that blend photos, voice prompts, and Q&A into a scrollable narrative. The matching algorithm is visualized through a 'Compatibility Compass' that explains *why* a match makes sense.
To foster conversation, we added AI-generated icebreakers based on shared interests. The aesthetic is warm and inviting, using soft gradients and rounded typography to create a safe, welcoming digital space.
